I always come across things that I love and want to share with you guys and have procrastinated and ended up not following through. So I decided that this year there will be none of that.
I love music, which I am sure many people can relate to. Music takes us away from the stress of the day to day, it can calm you down, make you think and even change your mood. So you can imagine my excitement when I was on FB (facebook) and a friend of mine shared this song called Who you are by Jessie J. I am in love with this song, it is just a feel good, girl power type of song.
The lyrics in this song are beautiful and true. We all need to let go of the tiny errors we see in the mirror and embrace the beauty inside by just being ourselves. For me, my photography has always been about that. I love helping people to see the beauty that is their family and giving them a picture that can remind them of a moment where they felt beautiful and free.
Hope that you enjoy the song and its message.
Who are you- Jessie J
I stare at my reflection in the mirror…
Why am I doing this to myself?
Losing my mind on a tiny error,
I nearly left the real me on the shelf …
Don’t lose it all, in the blur of the stars!
Seeing is deceiving, dreaming is believing,
It’s okay not to be okay…
Sometimes it’s hard, to follow your heart.
Tears don’t mean you’re losing, everybody’s bruising,
Just be true to who you are!
Brushing my hair, do I look perfect?
I forgot what to do to fit the mold, yeah!
The more I try the less its working
‘Cause everything inside me screams, no, no, no.
Don’t lose it all, in the blur of the stars!
Seeing is deceiving, dreaming is believing,
It’s okay not to be okay…
Sometimes it’s hard, to follow your heart.
But tears don’t mean you’re losing, everybody’s bruising,
There’s nothing wrong with who you are!
Yes, No’s, egos, fake shows
Like “woo”, just go, and leave me alone!
Real talk, real life, good love, goodnight,
With a smile …
That’s my own! (that is my own)
Don’t lose it all, in the blur of the stars!
Seeing is deceiving, dreaming is believing,
It’s okay not to be okay…
Sometimes it’s hard, to follow your heart.
Tears don’t mean you’re losing, everybody’s bruising,
Just be true to who you are!
Now if you liked that, I think you will love these. I came across this company and just love what they stand for. So if you have never heard of Nation Wares, you really need to check them out. I feel so passionately about businesses that have a heart and care about how their business practices are affecting the world. I can tell you that this company cares and this is my favourite place to purchase gifts for friends.
They recently teamed up with one of my favourite spoken word artists Carlos Andres Gomez to produce these beautiful bracelets.
The messages are “I am enough” and “I am distinctly beautiful”. Love, Love, did I say love and I hope you will too.
Have a blessed day,
Gina
