What would we do without water?

Posted January 25th, 2011 in News by Gina Ayanna

I was born and raised in Guyana, South America and moved to Canada in 1995.  The reason I am mentioning this is that I recall having to fetch water sometimes when the water levels were low.  Other times we would turn on the pipe and have it run for a while, as the water that first came out was a brown muddy colour.  We would always boil our water to protect ourselves from any bacteria.  Those experiences left a lasting impression with me even now.  I try to be mindful of my water consumption as I remember the times when it wasn’t flowing so freely.

This year I knew I wanted to work with an organization that stood for something I believe in.  So, that is why I have decided to donate 5% from every photography sale this year to charity water.  Water is a basic human need and yet there are still so many people in the world that don’t have access to clean drinking water.

So this year you will be helping many people gain access to clean drinking water simply by booking a photography session.

New Year, New Possibilities!

Posted January 8th, 2010 in Miscellaneous, News by Gina Ayanna

So with a new year just beginning, I am taking time to reflect on the great things that we were able to accomplish last year and some of the things that need to be improved.  I will be spending more time this year on blogging as well as focusing on the total customer experience and making sure that that I find even more fun locations than last year. I also plan to interact with more photographers and take a workshop or two to make sure I am constantly improving.

I want everyone to know that even though it may seem like I am totally responsible for Beautiful Images, that is not the case.  Our success is due to the work of my wonderful partner in life and all the tireless hours he spends on making sure that the images look just right in post processing as well as constantly challenging me creatively, though I may not always see the love in it at the time. :)

I read so many different blogs for inspiration and came across this blog  notebookdoodles and loved the concept and wanted to share them with you.  All images below are from notebookdoodles.

Thanks for reading and to a new year filled with new possibilities.

Gina
