Figuring out the style and theme of your wedding can sometimes be a difficult part of the planning process.  However with tools like the internet and sites like style me pretty and green wedding shoes it really helps to narrow down your likes and dislikes and can make the process so much easier.  With that being said, I have been thinking of doing a styled shoot for some time and when I thought about what I wanted the shoot to look like, the first thing that came to mind was Vintage.  I love that old world feel mixed with soft modern touches.

So I contacted a ton of vendors and was pleasantly surprised at their willingness to get on board.  The images below are truly a reflection of my love of nature and appreciation for reusing and recycling things to create some beautiful and new.  Hope you enjoy these images as much as I enjoyed creating them.

Special thanks to Rachelle Soucy at Botany floral studio, without her attention to detail and lets do this mindset, none of this would have been possible.  A complete vendors list can be found below.

This session took place on a cold October afternoon, but you could never tell because of the warmth and love that these two share.  Charles and Yolanda truly compliment each other; he is the serious, strong, slient type and she is outgoing, spunky and incredibly warm.  Together they are the perfect combination.

It was an honour to document their one year anniversary and to help capture their love with my lens.  This session was truly a wonderful experience as Yolanda had lots of ideas during our consultation and I am so happy we were able to bring them to life.

Wishing you both a lifetime of love and happiness.

Looking for a florist, just like looking for a photographer, can be a daunting task.  My hope is by reading today’s post, I will  help to make your search a little easier.  Take a moment and check out  Botany Floral Studio…

Like what you see so far?  The studio looks even more impressive in person.  The best part about botany is not the amazing floral options but the owner, Rachelle Soucy.  Rachelle really knows her craft, with a background in fine art, she puts together arrangements that take your breath away.  The next best thing about Rachelle is her warm prairie girl vibe, after just a few minutes in her presence you feel like she could be your bff.  The third and final reason you need to check out Botany Floral Studio is Rachelle’s commitment to the environment which is evident in all the reusable and recyclable materials that are used throughout the studio.  You can find out more about Rachelle here.
