So its New Years eve and another year is about to begin…  The New Year always brings a new start and reminds us of what is possible; for me the perfect representation of that  is a newborn.  Newborns come into the world and they are the embodiment of hope, they also exude love and light.  So as I look to a new beginning I thought, what better way to remind us of all that is possible than by looking through the eyes of little Addy.  Today is always a new day, we can stop and start over and figure out where we want to go from here.  This time of year is my slow season and having this time off  is a blessing for me, as it allows me to sit and think of where I have been and where I want to go next.

The Short and Sweet Session below took place when Addy was ten days old.  The midwife just happened to stop by while I was there, making this session extra special for me as I was able to document one of her first check ups.

I wish you all a very happy and prosperous new year, may you take the time to appreciate where you are and may all your dreams for the new year come true.

Christmas is one of my favourite times of year; I don’t know if it is because of the twinkling lights or the electricity you feel at this time of year.  You know the energy I’m talking about, it just seems like everyone is filled with joy and cheer.  My parents have always been into the holidays and their house is completely decorated the moment Halloween is over.

All this cheer and energy in the air, got me thinking about the way I want to spend the holidays this year.  I want to spend this holiday showing my gratitude for all the people in my life.  I am blessed to have a beautiful family that loves and supports me and I am blessed to have people that support what I do.  Whether it is  taking the time out of your busy day to read the blog, like a post or write a comment.  I want you all to know that I don’t take that for granted, and as a special thank you I have some goodies in store for you.
