Today the weather predictions were not good but I was keeping hope alive and was very happy in the end that the forecast was wrong. I spent the afternoon shooting two very beautiful sisters, they are very different but their love for each other is undeniable.  I am fortunate to have a sister and growing up sometimes we drove each other crazy but now that we are older, we are much closer.  Looking at the photos from this session has now prompted me to book a photo session with my sister and I to celebrate our relationship.  When you are young your parents definitely go crazy with pictures but when you are grown it is easy to get caught up with life and not capture key moments in life. I hope that you look at the key relationships in your life whether it is your sister or close friend and capture the moments that mean the most to you.

More images from this session to follow.

Getting Together

Posted March 1st, 2009 in Beautiful families by admin

Welcome to the Beautiful Images blog.  This is my first of many posts…..thanks for stopping in.

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity of shooting two beautiful families.  I love what I do as it allows me to meet new people and capture their family life through the lens of my camera.   When I photograph families it reminds me of this quote:

Our most basic instinct is not for survival but for family.  Most of us would give our own life for the survival of a family member, yet we lead our daily life too often as if we take our family for granted.  ~Paul Pearshall

This quote resonates with me especially when the families I photograph are huddled together and they remember even if just for a moment all the things they love about one another.  For example brothers who fight constantly sharing a tender and loving moment. This is why I do what I do.

I have attached some photos from my session, enjoy and think about the last time you got together with your family.
